Not just for kids.....

What better way to celebrate the end of a long week than by watching the spectacular fireworks show at Disneyland with my family and friends. I feel so lucky to be able to visit the happiest place on earth when ever I want to. Thanks for the best Christmas present Nana and Papa!

This was me with too many ideas and little or no action. I may have good intentions but no one can see those. Good intentions are just that intentions. I have become a woman of action. I am setting goals and I am getting things done. Jami at Freckled Laundry wrote a very inspiring post about doing and setting goals and working to get things done.
She has inspired me creatively and personally. And is very supportive of any project that I share.
 Thank you Jami.
I wish I had crafts and projects to share but I my house is getting  cleaner and more orderly everyday.  And when I am finished with that I will get back to creating!

A few gifts...
Here is another upcycled denim throw like the one I made  here.  I made this for my lovely, wonderful amazing friend. It is very raw and was pieced together randomly and sewn together even more randomly. So far it is my favorite blanket I have made. I love the contrast of the faded denim and the dark indigo.

I also made a circle denim garland with the left over jeans. So it was totally free. I love free, don't you. I am thrilled with how it came out. I wrapped the throw in kraft paper and then wrapped the garland around it a couple of times. It looked great, I am just sorry I didn't take a picture.

Finally, Emily and I made a double batch of baked ziti and wrapped it up, used some post-it labels to label it. BTW, I totally recommend these labels they are great. Then I stuck it in the freezer. It is a gift for a night off from cooking!
Woo Hoo!!
Yay for Friday!!!

I am going to jump right in even though I am late getting to the party!

And The Winner Is.....

(I am still pinching myself)

A few weeks ago I entered about 14 Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Contests and guess what,
Me the unluckiest person around (when it comes to contests.)
I have been drooling over this paint for months. Every time I see a piece of furniture that I love it was painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I knew that it was way out of my price range with Christmas and a few birthdays coming up, so I entered all of the giveaways! I think it was 2:00 in the morning when I finally finished. It was so worth it. I have so many pieces that I want to paint.
What a great way to start out the new year!
God works in mysterious ways! I am on a craft fast, meaning I will be not be starting any new projects until summer so I can focus on being a better wife, mother, and friend. My creations were taking over the house and my relationships in a bad way. I wasn't doing the things I should be doing, like laundry and dishes. So, until I can become a better house keeper and manage my time better the crafts will have to wait. This was a hard choice for me to make, and caused me some tears. But, I know I won because I am following what he wants me to do instead of doing what I want. The paint will keep and knowing that it is sitting there will just make me work harder to do what needs to be done.
Thank you Lord for all of your blessings and giving me what I need instead of want I want.

Thanks to Rhonda at Restored-Home for holding the contest and picking my name. You can check out her blog here. She has some great pieces of furniture and a lampshade redo that I can't wait to try...
 this summer. So Amazing!
